VG. ** Bookplate: A scene in which an older man dressed in a long fur-trimmed coat and cap, carrying a satchel, is standing at a lab bench. Laboratory glassware and books are in front of him. Additionally he is surrounded by animal specimens, both live and preserved. A skeleton is in the lower left-hand corner, offering him a round bundle. Behind him, in the upper right-hand corner, appears the head of an angel cast in a heavenly light.
